Fantasy Stock Market

By: Slam

With the regular season coming to close and and the Top 16 coming, the final phase of the fantasy season, I decided to give out some short and long term investments for the rest of the season.  I suggest you hold on to the short-term investments for this week and maybe one more, while the long-term investments are players you might be want to hold on to for a while or the rest of the season.

Short-Term Investments

Marko Jaric- Yes, I have already talked up Jaric’s arrival in Madrid, but I see him as more of a short term fantasy guy.  He is averaging 13 points, 7 boards, and 6 dimes through 2 games but this is with a few Real players being injured including Sergio Llull.  Jaric is only valued at 40 credits in fantasy, so his value should go up, but as players get healthy his playing time and stats will go down in.

Omar Cook- He put up 35 points and 7 assists for a 46 ranking in Unicaja’s last ACB league game, he’s hot right now pick him up, I did.

Sasha Kaun- GO PICK HIM UP NOW!  Sasha Kaun has been an animal his last 4 games averaging 15 and 7 for a CSKA Moscow team that is now rolling.  He is only valued at 32.5 credits so his value should only go up for the couple weeks.  He is in the short-term sections because with the signing of Courtney Sims and Matjaz Smodis coming back from injury eventually, his minutes will go down.

Long-Term Investments

Bojan Popovic- He means so much to the Lietuvos Rytas that he might not come out of these last 2 regular season games.  Also he’s averaging over an 18 ranking his last 4 games.

Juan Carlos Navarro- It’s on now everybody.  Navarro didn’t really have his shooting stroke to start the season, but he didn’t need to on a powerhouse Barcelona team.  He’s put up over 20 points in his last 2 ACB and averaged 18 in last 2 Euroleague games.  He put in 12 3’s in those last 4 games, and last year’s Euroleague MVP is ready to lead the Barcelona offense the rest of the season.  Plus he’s at a discount valued of 59.1 credits.

Tiago Splitter- He can become a stat machine in games when he is on, and snatching him up now after a couple sub-par Tiago games at 73 credits is a must.  Splitter’s value will go up and he will come through for Caja as the season wears on, if there’s any one player I would count on the rest of the way, it’d be Splitter.

Felipe Reyes- Last season’s ACB League MVP is back for Real Madrid and put up 16 points in 1 of his 4 games back.  He only costs 38.1 credits, for this cheap you are getting a guy who will have a breakout game and become once again an integral part of Real’s offense.
