POLL: Who Was The Best Point Guard At EuroBasket?

By: Sam Meyerkopf / @euro_adventures

The big difference between teams at this EuroBasket was point guard play.  Yes, Spain won the championship with average point guard play, but they instead countered with the Tournament MVP Juan Carlos Navarro playing right next to the Calderon-Rubio-Sada tripod.  A team such as Macedonia went from tournament laughing stock last EuroBasket to medal contender this EuroBasket, with the simple addition of Bo McCalebb to its backcourt.  With Tony Parker out of the game, France looked entirely lost. With Tony in the game, France is the Silver Medalist.  A Mr. Do-Everything for his team, Serbia lived and died with the inconsistent, but sometimes breathtaking play of their lead man Milos Teodosic.  Sift out the facts, grab an iced beverage at your trendy local coffee shop, get the seat closest to the window and think about the poignant point guard images that have drifted into your cerebrum over the past three weeks. Only then, should you cast your ballot.
