After reaching the NCAA championship game at Memphis in 2009  and splitting two NBA seasons between Houston, Sacramento and Toronto, the lockout hit and Joey Dorsey headed east to Vitoria, Spain to play for Caja Laboral and notorious taskmaster, Dusko Ivanovic.

It did not go well.  Between injuries and what Dorsey says was a lack of communication, neither his production nor his minutes seemed to be heading in the right direction.

Then Dorsey left Spain for Piraeus, Greece, where things changed, and drastically.  He played more, he played better, and Olympiacos suddenly had an imposing threat on the inside.

Joey credits one man for his success: “Just coach, man.”
