After a few weeks off the Euroleague is back!  Week 8 was a tale of different fortunes for the Euroleague Adventures boys as Slam went a 7-5, but Freaknick went a-holy cow, really?-5-7.  Now with a commanding lead in the pick standings (SLAM: 60-24; FREAKNICK: 58-26) let’s see if Slam can hold him off in week 9. And as always, you can read Freaknick’s extended preview for SLAMOnline.

Wednesday's Euroleague games.

FB Ulker @ Montepaschi Siena

Slam: FB Ulker needs this game they really do, and Slam tries to give hope to those who need it. FB Ulker

Freaknick: Siena

Lietuvos Rytas @ Partizan

Slam: This game has Major playoff implications and for someone that has been drinking the Bojan Popovic and Martynas Gecevicius cool-aid all season, I can’t pick against them, even though they’re on the road in Belgrade. Rytas

Freaknick: Partizan

Maroussi @ Caja Laboral

Slam: No Maroussi is not winning 2 in a row. Caja Laboral

Freaknick: Caja Laboral

Asseco Prokom @ Panathinaikos

Slam: Too much defense for an Asseco team that has to play only a few guys a lot of minutes. Panathinaikos

Freaknick: Panathinaikos

EWE Baskets @ Real Madrid

Slam: I haven’t picked against Madrid yet, you think I’m going to do it against the league’s worst defense. Madrid

Freaknick: Madrid

Thursday's Euroleague games.

Barcelona @ Asvel

Slam: This could be a slip up game for Barca because it means a lot to Asvel and not much to them.  JC Navarro is playing too well right now though. Barcelona

Freaknick: Barcelona

Cibona @ Zalgiris

Slam: I’ve come too far riding Cibona to make the Top 16 to jump ship now.  Let’s GO Cibona, you can do it Marko Tomas, WE BELIEVE. Cibona

Freaknick: Freaknick

Olympiacos @ Efes Pilsen

Slam: It’s now been proven by Pilsen that talent does not equal wins, but adding Scoonie Penn might. Olympiacos

Freaknick: Efes Pilsen

Orleans @ Unicaja

Slam: Yes we’re all happen Orleans won a game, but a 2nd win is not coming in Malaga.  Did anyone see Omar Cook in the ACB last week, 35 points. Unicaja

Freaknick: Unicaja

CSKA Moscow @ Union Olimpija

Slam: I Slam will never again doubt CSKA Moscow, I don’t know how they do it, but they do it, 5 game winning streak. Moscow

Freaknick: Moscow

Lottomatica Roma @ Maccabi Electra

Slam: Roma is a a really bad car crash, you hope everyone is ok, but deep down you know that there are some serious problems. Maccabi

Freaknick: Maccabi

AJ Milano @ BC Khimki

Slam: AJ Milano has been a dimly lit flame that just won’t go out all season.  This week is where they show if they have the heart to make it to the Top 16. Milano

Freaknick: BC Khimki
