For the first time since 2009, there was nobody from EuroLeague Adventures at the Final Four in person, but that didn’t stop Rob Scott and Austin Green taking in the action from the comfort of the couch.
The podcast reacts to CSKA Moscow’s dramatic 91-83 victory over Anadolu Efes, behind 20 points each from F4 MVP Will Clyburn and Cory Higgins (how’s that for All-EuroLeague?). Shane Larkin was one point short of matching his 30-piece in the semi-final, and came close to dragging Efes back into contention in the final moments, after they had pulled back a 14-point deficit to lead early in the second half.
We talk about the fairytale stories hiding behind the CSKA behemoth, redemption for Itoudis, Efes’ wild ride to their first EuroLeague final, and much more.
As ever, you can follow Rob and Austin on Twitter, not forgetting our absent colleague George Rowland, and stick around for more pods coming soon on domestic league playoffs and then off-season transfer market scuttlebutt.
Until then, thanks for sticking with us after our long hiatus, and hopefully we’ll be back in your ears again sooner this time. Aupa!
