Losing one star player to the NBA would be tough but Fenerbahçe lost two this summer, and not just any old faces. Ekpe Udoh and Bogdan Bogdanovic may be gone, but the Euroleague champions may have gone and replaced them about as well anyone could have hoped. Maybe they’re even deeper now?
Nicolo Melli from Bamberg, OG Marko Guduric from Crvena Zvezda, Sinan Guler from Galatasaray and now ex-Sacramento Kings and Shangdong Golden Stars centre Jason Thompson. But wait, there’s more? Brad Wanamaker may (or may not) be on his way across town from Daçka if the NBA doesn’t come calling. Could this be the strongest Fenerbahçe yet?
Rob, Austin and George dive into this, plus more on our menu del Dia:
- 02:30 - 23:00 - Fenerbahçe Dogus
- 23:00 - 36:50 - Barcelona - Kevin Seraphin, Rakim Sanders, Adrian Moerman, maybe Adam Hanga, Phil Pressey, Thomas Heurtel, Pierre Oriola
- 36:50 - 50:30 - Unicaja Malaga - Ray McCallum, Dragan Milosavljevic, Georgi Shermadini, James Augustine, Sasu Salin and what about Dejan Musli?
- 50:30 - end - Crvena Zvezda - James Feldeine, Nikola Radicevic, Nikola Jovanovic, Matthias Lessort
Here’s that link to Next Step Basketball’s write up of possible new Crvena Zvezda big man and Philadelphia 76ers second round pick Matthias Lessort I mentioned on the pod.
