On the strength of Larry Bird’s shooting touch and Farah Fawcett’s golden locks, Dirk Nowitzki clumsily stumbled his way into the pantheon of all-time NBA greats this season, and just may be the greatest European to ever play the game. But neither his 2006 MVP trophy nor his thrashing of LeCon’s Heat in the 2011 Finals can hold a candle to his most recent accomplishment: the ESPY for Best Male Athlete.
And now, he’s even decided to give back to the community by forming his own hoops academy for kids. What a guy.
